Then came the teriyaki-glazed burger, its sweet-salty balance perfected, followed by tender ribs. The air carried the scent of slow-cooked perfection.
Another night led us to Gavin’s Kitchen and Bar, which surprised me in the best way possible. The ribs arrived glistening, their smokiness cutting through the air. The delicate and flavorful fish melted on the tongue, while the tofu sisig had a textural contrast, crisp on the outside and silky within.
For brunch, Lutgardo’s at Coron 180 Hotel offered something entirely different—a meal that felt like a moment of reflection on home. The rich and perfectly seasoned fish relleno paired beautifully with the fresh crunch of lumpiang sariwa, while the kare-kare demanded to be savored slowly.
