The Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) hosted a familiarization tour for travel agents from the Philippines and Singapore, underscoring its focus on the two countries as priority markets in its wider strategy to grow arrivals from the ASEAN region.

The seven-day itinerary brought agents through some of Israel's most iconic destinations, including the ancient city of Jerusalem, the lowest part of the earth the Dead Sea, and the vibrant coastal city of Tel Aviv. One of the highlights of the trip was an exhilarating jeep tour through the Judean Desert and a wine tour in the Golan heights, offering the delegates a first-hand look at the country's dramatic landscapes and adventure tourism offering experiences they can now confidently recommend to their clients back home.
The Ministry noted that this initiative is part of a wider effort to deepen engagement with the ASEAN market, recognizing the Philippines and Singapore as key gateways for tourism growth in Southeast Asia. With visa-free access, a diverse range of destinations, and renewed assurances of safety, the Israel Ministry of Tourism expressed confidence that more Filipino and Singaporean travelers will consider Israel for their next journey.

The Philippines has emerged as one of IMOT's fastest-growing priority markets in Asia, alongside India, China, and South Korea. The Ministry has pointed to the Philippines' large, faith-driven travel market and Singapore's position as a regional aviation and travel hub as reasons both countries are central to its ASEAN strategy. IMOT has also used regional trade events, such as ITB Asia in Singapore, to deepen relationships with Southeast Asian travel partners.
Filipino travel to Israel has held steady even without direct flights. The Philippines' Department of Tourism and IMOT have signed a joint declaration of intent to formally grow two-way tourism, and both sides are in active talks with airlines. For Singapore, IMOT sees the city-state's outbound travel strength and status as a regional gateway as key to reaching a wider swath of Southeast Asian travelers. IMOT's engagement with the Philippines and Singapore mirrors this regional push, positioning both countries as anchor markets it can build on to reach travelers across ASEAN.

Adding to the good news for Filipino and Singaporean travelers, Anna Oraiza T. Aban, Marketing Manager of the Israel Ministry of Tourism Philippines, highlighted the ease of travel now available to both nationalities. "Philippine and Singaporean passport holders can travel to Israel visa-free, making it even more convenient for travelers to experience everything the country has to offer," Aban said.
